Relichunter2016
I got a chance for a quick hunt before the Epic Storm comes upon us here in the Sierras. I am sure you all have experienced those moments of darn I gotta get out and swing that detector, even if it's for a few hours. So with charged up batteries in my whites mxt I was set to dig as many targets as time allowed me. I hit a few Chinese camps and went on swinging and digging. Dug a lot of bullets, square nails, and even picked up some broken Chinese ceramic dish bits, and some pottery pieces. The biggest piece was that copper dish shaped thing I have not yet identified with all my dug items I placed into. Another cool item is a Chinese brass robe button I dug up which I can now add to my collection of others I have found in the same general area and one random pull tab. Yes same general area, the region was populated by Chinese miners because they were forced from the rich grounds to the less productive areas. Here are the pictures of the round brass button, copper thingy for some reason it was cut on one side and three rivets were used to attach the back side part. Update : copper plate is actually brass. nugget108
Awesome stuff for sure!! We love those Chinese relics. The robe buttons give off a weird signal on the Equinox though. Great job! 1

I am still using the Whites mxt, just used to it after all these years and I have had some luck with it, so no upgrades for me for the time being.
nugget108
I had an MXT before I got the Equinox. They are a darn fine machine. Especially once you learn it.

Yup, I agree perhaps one day I'll get a new modern machine. My daughter just ordered a Nokta Legend, so in April I'll take her out on the ranch and see how it performs on ground I am familiar with. Some trashy areas, perhaps it had better iron masking and has a better ability to pull out the non ferrous. If it ends up a better machine I surely will invest in one.

I believe that's the most important & main thing... get yourself a quality machine and learn how to use it..
