Dakota Slim
I'm having a hard time imagining what is happening on the ground in CA. Every time I look at the radar, I see heavy rain and snow in the mountains and it's been going on for months. The snow must be 60 feet deep at Donner Pass. Is that possible? https://www.wunderground.com/maps/radar/current/rno 2

nugget108
I have family up around mammoth and they are sitting at 200+ inches where they are!! Lots more up top. Go to OnTheSnow.com to see the snow totals for the base of all the major ski resorts. Pretty impressive for sure.

After the drought we've had I know the Colorado River and it's reservoirs can use all the runoff they can get.

Relichunter2
Well yes it's been raining and snowing here in the lower Sierra foothills near Yosemite. The park is closed for the next 3 days do to heavy snowfall and fear of avalanche and rock falls especially in the valley floor. Some still without power been 2 days for some, refrigerator food usually goes bad, and those without wood burning stoves will be in the cold for a while. According to radar we have rain and possible snow until the 12th. This morning the rain let up some so I had a crazy thought about swinging the vlf for an hour or two before rain starts up again, went to the ranch I hunt and before I could set the coil to the ground I found a poor ole boy in the creek with its leg stuck in a panel. Must of kicked it good , got stuck and the whole section with 3 panels went down the bank into creek. My hunt turned into a rescue, went and got my hacksaw and cut him free. The hard job was pulling this poor boy up the wet and slippery creek bank onto some flat ground. After about and hour and half got him freed and he is in good shape after some rest. Ended up a good day after all, weather will get better and always another day to go and search for treasures. Today we saved one.. 2 1

We have over 100 inches up here in north eastern Nv in our high elevations that feed the Salt Lake area. And all the high ground around Salt Lake has record snow too! Should be a good year for the runoff. The 3 feet in my yard is growing as we speak!! 6

GhostMiner
Major alert - it's snowing in California. What are we going to do? The world is ending LOL. Actually, it's all good as they are in need of any moisture they can get. Maybe that will shut the climate nerds up for awhile as well. Like man can control the climate? Check this out.
