Terry Soloman
I think the forum is alive and well. I would ask Ghost, what are you doing to help it grow? do you have any good stories to add, discoveries you have made/ Any forum is only as good as its members. 1
Mike Furness
With so many folks making videos on YouTube it seems forums are dying out. I hope Bill doesn't let that happen to this one.

Terry in defense of Ghostminer I would suggest you keep up with the Lost Gold at Deadman's Mine topic on this section of Nuggetshooter he has been posting over the last year or so. Quite the story. He has written far more than anyone else.

I write and post here every day since I joined in Dec 2021. The journal I post here for free is also on another forum where it has achieved close to 250,000 views in one year and global attention. That's what I do LOL. Cheers. Edited January 31 by GhostMiner 1

I might also inform you that my wife and I post a song for Friday Night Tunes each week. There is very little activity there as well and we are trying to keep it alive but it seems to be hopeless. These forums are beginning to fade away and I hate to see this one go. It looks like the owner doesn't have much interest either or am I wrong on that?

The owner has interest or he wouldn't be paying the fees every month to keep the forum online, he's just busy with life lately.

I am talking about actively promoting the forum, which I do very often in my Youtube videos, on Twitter, and online posts. That is how we GROW the forum. Posting here is simply preaching to the choir. There is more gold mining and prospecting knowledge on this forum than any other - in my never humble opinion.

I Will start right now to help. The picture you posted is very close to an actual vechile on display at the US Army Yuma Arizona Proving grounds , only difference is color (solid orange) & no windows. It is listed as a land train engine used in the WW2 Africa campaign. Max

nugget108
I have 4 feet of snow in my yard just like every other northern Nevada citizen!! I know guys that are in Idaho and Utah and they are buried in snow too!! I guess i can post pictures of ice and snow for everyone? Like i mentioned before, there are certain times of year when this forum is booming and times its super slow. Arizona folks slow down in the dead of summer and hammer away in the field in the winter when you can stand to be outside. Same with us here in Northern Nevada. Down time in the winter with heavy snow and although not as hot as Arizona up here, the middle of summer sucks to be out in. At least for this fat kid! This forum is great and so are the folks that use it! Obviously leaving is your choice but i wouldn't recommend it! 6
Mike C...
You all act like the slow down is just a recent thing or a seasonal thing but the truth is its been stagnating for a while compared to when it first started-Ive been here since the beginning of the forum and alot of the old members either moved on or just watching like me or arent with us anymore-This use to be the best gold forum around - IMO Forums are like a ship if the captain isnt around sooner or later the mates a banded ship and then the ship sinks-its what ive seen happen to a couple and a couple in the works-forums are becoming a thing of the past thanks to social medias which I dont do 4
Dakota Slim
The value of this forum is the information contained herein. It isn't how many viewers you can get to read your fiction in the Prospector's Lounge. Lots of people who have found lots of gold and meteorites have posted priceless information, photos and true stories here. Many long lasting friendships started from contacts made here. Heck, John B met up with me and some others in northern Nevada and John B even offered to show my how to turn on my GP Extreme.
GhostMiner
I don't see anyone posting much of anything here. That is probably because there are no viewers to read the posts. I've only been here for about 13 months but it's stunning how quickly the forum dried up. Perhaps it is a sign of the times.

What would be the point in that? You all got it for free but very few thanks except for a few classy people here. I won't be here to keep the doors open any longer. I joined this forum in 2005. People come and people go. All are classy if you ask me. Some of our classy members have ascended to the Mother Lode in Heaven and they posted a lot of interesting information here before they went. Everyone who has ever posted here did so for free and I guarantee that none of them thought the lights would go out and the party would be over when they left.
