birdnerdgrace
I'm looking for spots where I can fish in or near the Prescott area. I would also love to eat the fish, but I know the area is pretty polluted. Does anyone know of any places where the fish is okay to eat? Thanks, Grace
Beeper Bob
Lots of places to fish. Look up AZGFD they have a site listing fishing areas. Also look up where I can fish in Prescott, there is a list of local lakes. Good fishing and camping in our National forest areas, just look up the National forest you are interested in going to. Don't know if you like lake or stream fishing.
Mike Furness
The major Fishing Lakes in the Prescott/Prescott Valley area include: Prescott Lakes, Lynx Lake, Fain Lake, Watson lake, Willow Lake, Goldwater Lake ... those are the larger better know area lakes. Willow is primarily a Largemouth Bass lake. Fain and Prescott Lakes are trout and catfish. The rest of the lakes have trout, bass and catfish. I have heard of Black Crappie in most but for all the fishing I did in the area for 11 years I never caught one. Hope this helps.
