xracer550
I think most folks find meteorites by accident while metal detecting , When the show "Meteorite Men" was on TV I was making a magnetic hunting sticks (sold a lot of them ) = I wanted to cover more ground so I made a super magnetic sweeper that I can tow behind my brother's Jeep , It has 30 heavy duty Neodymium magnets that can rotate 360' & will go over rough ground with rocks & debris with out any problems , We would go to the Dry lake bed's here in So. Cal. Put the Jeep in 1st gear low (with no driver) turn on the radio grab one of our favorite beverage's & sit in the back until we got close to the end of the lake bed then turn around & do it again , Was alot of fun we cleaned pounds of metal scrap off of the lake beds but never did find a Meteorite just a bunch of Ironstone , What else can or do you use to find meteorites I would like to see.
