Phelepele
I Have a 300kg rock , this îs a chunk i managed țo break with a Hammer. I did the Quartz test and IT leaves marks on glass, and i tried to stain IT and when i put IT under Water IT all goes away. Do You think this îs Quartz ? If yes ? How valuble îs 300kg in one big stone. Thanks
Morlock
Put a few drops of warm vinegar on it. If it starts slowly fizzing after a few minutes, it calcite. If it doesn't fizz, it's most likely quartz.

Morlock
There's not going to be much of a market for a 600 + lb mass of quartz. It might make a good landscape stone for the yard if you can find the right buyer.
GeoJack
If you find a buyer, I have several tons to sell.
RockandFound
You could cut it into a piece of art and polish it then it would be worth some good money.
