John B.
Hi All I found this and many others on a dry lake in Nevada. This has about a 95% crust and looks like it fell the day before I found it. I think it hit a tortoise when it landed hence the chips. Happy Huntin John B.

John B.
Hi Jason How you been ?? Thanks. I think it's an H5 if I recall correctly. But we did find a number of L chondrites there as well . I've asked Roger to send me a copy of the strewn field map . But he's not doing too good so I haven't bugged him. I guess I could pullout my beeper and tell you for sure. They were classified at Oregon State Cascadia meteorite lab. Happy Huntin John B. Beeper Bob
Very nice stone John. Dennis and I went out there, with Rogers direction found one about the size of a charcoal briquet with a perfect crust. Finding a virgin field like that is a once in a lifetime find. Sorry about Roger. I remember you and Roger flying down the dirt roads in you Dodge Hemi.
John B.
Thanks Guys We got quite a few without any chips or dings and they almost look fake or like river rocks . Happy Huntin John B.
