shep
What's a good way to start off the new year? With a nugget of course! So, planning an unoffical get together. No raffles, no big dinners, no training sessions, no meetings just detecting, big area to ride around in, comraderie, maybe some cocktails and lying around the fire! I'm looking at between Jan 12-20th at Tom Wells (west of Q) at the village. Area is all pretty much open and alot of camping. Good gold area. Weather looks to be good. Think about it and hope you can make it! Any input? 6
GotAU?
I can maybe go the weekend of the 15th. Do you have a good area map with claims to avoid? I think Nugget Wranglers has some areas there. Any members here have info on it? Thanks for the idea, Shep!
shep
Nugget wranglers is debunk I believe. Open ground, just stay off Indian land

shep
Sorry to say trip to Quartszite is on hold right now. Neighbor across street came over last week and spent time with wife and got sick next day. I guess gave it to wife, as she got ill Saturday. We've been staying separated but my chest is kinda junk this morning. Not going to take a chance of spreading anything so going to back out of trip to Quartzsite for now. 1

They say Benadryl and Lactoferrin can help if you start within a few days of 1st symptoms but I'd be calling the doctor.
jpuisis
Wife and I came down with some sort of cootie the day after christmas. Cough, congestion , headache and slight fever. We are both just about over with it now. We have had both shots plus the booster so I think we should be ok to go next weekend. If you get to go during the next 2 to 3 weeks post it on this site and we will drop by and share a couple of stories . John
