billpeters
On the night of Dec 11-12 I saw my 21,000th meteor by count. It was a normal Geminid. I had seen a -4.0 Geminid meteor and five more at about -3.0 magnitude including one sporadic. I saw a total of 54 that night two days before the Geminids peak, which would be under cloudy skies here in Arizona. I got moved earlier from my meteorite barbeque site by a family of brightly lit campers who weren't interested in the sky. Comet Leonard had a bright fuzzy tail. I also saw my 35th asteroid of 2021 just by only using 60x2 binoculars. It is named Isis (42) after a Greek god at 10.7+ magnitude and 65 miles across. billpeters Edited December 14, 2021 by billpeters 3
