AZ Digger
So we all know the two terms are used interchangeably, but it's actually wrong to do so. Grilling and BBQ are two very different things. BBQ is low and slow. Brisket, Pork Butt (Boston butt or whatever you call it), Sausage are typically things you BBQ. Go to any BBQ joint and that's what you will get, anything cooked low and slow (smoker) where there is no direct contact with the flame. Grilling on the other hand, is usually done hot and fast. Steaks, Burgers, Hot Dogs, are typically what you grill, on a flame, frequently the flame comes into contact with the meat (not always). Make no mistake about it, BBQ and Grilling are two very different things. "D"
MacGump
Don't marry a Brazilian. For them BBQ is what you would define as grilling--- and is more about the social activities around it... Now, to avoid arguments, I call it cooking out.
