Ordinary rock
I didn't get any hits in the other forum so I'm posting it here too. I found this rock one day at work. It had a black thin layer encasing it and some bumps on the top. It looks like some kinda breccia maybe but I'm not in the least a geologist or meteorologist. One day someone left an ultrasonic cleaner at my house and so I stuck the rock in. It started to eat away at the crust so I took it out but not before it revealed a red orange color around the small rocks and whatever the binder is. Is this a potential meteorite or absolutely not. And I know this is the wrong forum but does anyone know what type of rock it would be? Also I put the holes in it. Also it's orange looking because of the dust when I cut it instead of black
Jayray
Looks like sandstone. Not meteoritic. Jayray
