Ordinary rock
I was hunting one of my go to spots for arrowheads last month and up ahead I saw a bigger something on the ground. Once I got in closer I got excited thinking it was an old hammer stone but upon retrieval I'm not so sure. There was one thing that definitely stood out about it though, it really stank. It kinda kinda resembled catfish stink bait, not sure if blood or chicken and it was very loud. I had it in my hand by my waist and I could smell it easy. What is it you reckon? My unprofessional guess was sedimentary? And the hole in the pic and black crust around the hole was done by me using it for a crucible. Found in louisiana. Kinda an orange ish streak and only magnetic where I had bunt it.
