Bedrock Bob Posted September 6, 2020 Share Posted September 6, 2020 I am on the calcite boat. Splash a little hot vinegar on it. I bet it will bubble and foam. The surface is clearly crystalline. They look like precipitation or evaporation. It just about has to be something that grew from crystal formation. Not by replacement like an agatized fossil. Several pieces look like they could have come from a cave. Be careful if it did. Minerals from caves are often protected by law. Kinda like vertebrate fossils.
