Gilaoro2
What Can I do as a member of this forum to help ? Money ? I don't have much but could kick in a couple of 100 if it was a group effort.Time ? I am not the sharpest on a computer but my oldest daughter is OK at it. I just bought Snake Jim's GM-3 for her to learn on and she is looking forward to signing up on the forum and is willing to learn and knows how to deal with people. I on the other hand after spending 20 years in the US COAST GUARD as a boatswain's mate retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer three have the tendency to tell people to get in the darn boat as row or else! Any way form my point of view there are enough members who Should be interested to help get done what ever needs to be done ! Take names and kick a** why should the people who let this fail in the first place hold it hostage??? John B has done his part that is for sure. It is about a 3 hour drive for me to GB from Wickenburg and I have to use a ROLLaGator or walker to get around but I manage at 85 and just bought a FJ Cruiser to go where I want too. How about enlisting some of us to do what needs to be done I nominate: Frank C,homefire,Sonora Dave Mike Furness, Chrisksi , and all others who have ever attended one of the outings with the WSPA ! best time I ever had at an outing I still laugh at some of the shenanigans: Frank C and his wife who where camped in low spot, a hole , damm it was cold , we where in our old PU camper and invited them up? Over? for some hot coffee, franks wifre was freezing so I gave her an old pair of Camo Army arctic pants to wear that I had brought back from Adak Alaska years ago, never got them back but didn't tell her they were used as sled dog beds ad some of the camo was not camo.Frank didn't get nothing! Any way enlist the interested and lets get some posts set or whatever is needed. ?????? ANYONE?????

Bedrock Bob
I think Bill is mining in the YouTube mountains these days. He filed a series of claims on Go Pro gulch. Rumor has it that he hit a rich click placer.

There is a three foot wide seam of clickbait running down that mountain that you can see all the way from the old ghost town of Twitter. At least that's what I'm told... 2

Mike Furness
Funny comments by a couple of you guys! Yup! Ole Billy is on the gold with the drywasher! He's doing just the same as any of us would do when we see that shiny! We concentrate on or should I say are mesmerized by the brilliance of the shiny yellow treasure showing through the black sand veil. Good for them ... Billy, Tammy and his buddy Rick! Things will change as soon as that shiny new Minelab 6000 hits his door! LOL! 3
kwah
I was a member of WSPA for about 3 years. I got out when I saw it starting to fall apart due to a lack of leadership. During my time in the organization I met some very nice people and went on a few good outings. The fellowship was good, the nugget hunting not so much. I jointed as an associate member with no claim to contribute. I didn't know anything about the past history or why the founders, more or less, abandoned the organization. It didn't matter to me. While I was a member I eventually decided the concept of WSPA was flawed in a number of ways: -If one is going to spend the time to research and locate a good claim how likely will they be willing to "donate" for club use? Continued contribution of claims is key to the success of the organization. It doesn't take long for a number of real good detectorists to use up a claim. -Discussion and resolution of problems via the internet did not work effectively. A lot times out spoken members alienated other members. Not many members contributed to the discussion. Still happening now. The "Board" didn't seem to be able to get together and make a final decision. -Claims management was a BIG problem except for a few dedicated members in Arizona -Lastly, as with any other club, only a small percentage of members are willing to work for the club/organization. Good luck.
Nugget Shooter
Not sure what they (WSPA) are up to David, I left when it bogged down again, but I managed to help them get the bank account back, etc. Yes I work at YouTube videos to help others like I always have with forums, lessons, seminars, and I am able to make some money from people’s support to help with costs and if that warrants giggles and smart ass comments yay for you .… Cheers
