Pijuan 0
Hello all, I am new to this forum, and I am trying to identify what type of mineral this beautiful egg is made out of. I appreciate any insight, Laura.
Bob(AK) 53
Looks like Alaskan blizzard stone. If so a magnet will stick to it. It is a gabbro of feldspar crystals in a black serpentine material, my guess
4meter 201
Very nice rock egg! My guess is a biotite rich granite. I see some dark "purplish" colored minerals which could be garnet. The presence of garnets indicates some metamorphism so it could be Gneiss.
