UPDATE ON CV19: it's been almost 10 months since I had the CV19

and some of it is still with me. About once or twice a week I start

the cough again but one or two sprays of the throat spay stops it

in it's tracks. Finally got my taste and smell back but in the months

that have followed I've lost 17.7 lbs. I wasn't fat so the weight loss

has been in my muscles. The Doc's here don't know how to stop the

loss only to say eat more and lift weights.

Saturday a couple here bought their first detector, a Minelab Gold

Monster 1000. they brought it by my house and I gave them about

two hours of ground school, now have to find a day we can go

give it a test run.

Yesterday 18-02-2021 a big setback on the covid, the mayor made new rules.

Now all nonessential business will close at 18:00.

No more alcoholic drinks sold period.

Since I don't read Portuguese there's probably more so I'll have to ask my grand-son who does.

Today the Mayor issued a total lock down of this town. All restaurants closed except for carry out,

no alcohol drinks, all business' close at 18:00 except grocery stores and drug stores and bakeries.

This lock down will end March 8th, maybe. :nutty:

Just finished today a eight day lock down but it also started a new eight day lock down today.

Under the old rules I go into a restaurant and fill my styro foam container then take it out to eat somewhere else.

New rules today if I get caught inside the restaurant I get fined almost $1,000.00 USD.

No beer sales under lock down rules, may have to cut back one beer a day to stretch my supply.

RD now three down and out, only one left.

We just entered our third week of lock down.

Yesterday I called a Sheriffs deputy in a town 20 miles North of here and she said the town was still

free. So I headed there and bought four cases of beer, then today they went to lock down, WHEW.

Went to my restaurant today now the new rules are NO BODY INSIDE THE RESTAURANT, call-in

orders only and then they deliver. So I stood outside and told them what i wanted, then went

and sat in my pick-up until they "delivered" my food.

After lunch I cleaned out all items related to prospecting from my P/U.

My dad turns 90 years, I think next month. He still has been coughing a lot at times and won't get tested.

Hey Red_desert, keep taking his temperature to see if he has any fever.  If he doesn't like the oral thermometer then tell him that you are going to turn him over and jam one in the other end.  I know how older people can be sometimes as I am there myself.  I am 87 and my wife is 89.  Tough love bro!

Oh, he already has been out getting things in the garden started. I got pictures of him running the rototiller from the upstairs window.

Now the wife of my friend that passed away has CV so bad she has to hold on to something to just walk to the bathroom.

Yesterday our third week of lockdown ended so today we got to eat in a restaurant like nothing ever happened. Freedom sure feels good.

Heard something today about the Philippines, they have to start locking down also, especially Manila which is being closed to Internation travelers.

Here it is Sunday, went to the restaurant this morning to have another great lunch but

got stopped short just as I was getting out of my pickup by one of the waitress', it

seems like their back to call in orders and delivery only but she took my order and had

me return to my truck and wait. Five minutes later she delivered my order to me in my

truck. Hope to find more tomorrow from the owners.

At least this week I guess the Mayor has let things more or less go back to normal. Guess no spikes in the virus deaths. Hope this smooth sailing last awhile.
