garimpo
After two weeks that involved two head x-rays, two chest x-rays, nostril swabs and blood test three times I finally got the low down yesterday from my Doc, sometime in the past I have survived covid 19! It had to be the last week in March when for three days the coughing never stops, chest congestion that feels like drowning but the coughing doesn't bring anything up, on hands and knees trying to get some air, finally some mouth spray gave me a few minutes of rest before the next round. Now after five months I think I'm out of the woods. A small cough here and there. For the last two weeks also been fighting deep ear infection, really bad stuff. Today I read on the internet that after surviving coronovirus other past health problems are more serious. With the ear infection that's a fact! Now starting at 08:00 starting all the test over again, just to make sure all is ok. 2

Back in March my dad who turned 89 years old, had a bad deep cough 3-4 weeks maybe longer. At night especially would just keep coughing. I often wondered if he might of got the virus. I'm the type of person who normally doesn't show symptoms. I never get a flu vaccine a last time sick 4-5 years at least and it probably was the end of H1N1 virus. Red_desert
My one aunt in the nursing home died back in March also. She never got tested. We got a telephone call first that my aunt fell off her chair being so sick. Then a day or so later in the hospital with pneumonia like symptoms. Red_desert
Growing up mom always made us mint tea. You can grow it in black peat soil, especially the peppermint variety. Cut sprigs to hang upside down for drying and store in a lar jar that seals good to keep fresh.

garimpo
RD I went a couple of time in Aug to two of my old patches. Problem is the brush and weeds are higher than my truck. Impossible to detect.
Red_desert
Yep, I suspect the virus check for mask in public, is making it harder for the brush burners to be out.
garimpo
RD the mask checks have let up a little although to enter all bldgs a mask is necessary. When I could use them the brush burners are mostly 1500 km to the North doing their thing there. This afternoon I saw a smoke cloud to the East so I guess a few burns are going on, don't know who. Red_desert
No use fighting the brush, if you don't have to for swinging the coil. Bulldozer would eliminate it in a hurry.
garimpo
RD a bulldozer here starts at $500.00 per hour. A few years ago I hired a road grader for a strip of land that was great for a grader to work. The agreement was $200.00 per hour while it worked the site, no charges for travel time. You guessed it, he tried to charge me the travel time, more than the work time. He didn't win. This time of year the only thing that works great is fire, if you don't get caught. garimpo
This week I drove three different directions from my house and I saw big columns of smoke in every direction. I've learned not to get near the smoke sites especially since I have detectors and coils in my truck. Also always a chance of getting caught in the middle of a mile long brush fire. CV19 UPDATE: this month Sept. is six months since I had my bought the virus and some of the small stuff is still with me, like a little cough now and then. Soon as the first cough starts I grab the throat spray that I always carry in my left cargo pocket and three sprays stops it. Also this week I'm tasting food again, six months no tasting food and I've lost 11 lbs. Now I'm wondering if this stuff ever completely leaves. Red_desert
My dad has been coughing a lot still also. I'm still no symptoms for flu now at least 2-3 years, even during cold of winter. I can remember at least twice feeling almost like a headache was beginning to come on, but each time would take 1 Ibuprofen sit down and that was all. garimpo
For about a month now the fires have been burning in every direction, a lot of smoke and big black airborne cinders landing all over the place. I thought about taking all my detector equipment out of the truck so if I got stopped I could have a problem. So instead of that I decided to just leave my equipment where it is and stay home. No chance of getting pulled over, caught with the fires in front and back like last year and save a bunch on diesel, still R$3.98, a LITER! That's R$14.72 per gal or the exchange rate right now is 5.65 =$2.60 USD a gal. I hope that's right!
