Chuck Thuemler
I would like to get a 12 volt Drywasher like the Thompson, but Bill isn’t making them anymore . I have a small sheet metal shop and can build one , Bill’s Drywasher seems to get very good reviews . So if I don’t find a reasonably priced used one I will make my own version . I have only seen a few photos, and a couple of videos of one . I would like to get some dimensions. box width, length, depth, length of legs , pitch angle . Improvements you would suggest from experience? Thanks , Chuck

I got one recently, worked it a few days in the desert and got some nice color with it. Such a great little machine! PM me if you need help. Maybe we could trade help, I want to make a small sheetmetal 4” hose bucket manifold for a blower (want to make a vacuum separator). Edited June 26, 2020 by GotAU? I can't seem to send a private message but I'd love to try my hand at building a well designed drywasher! Thanks and heavy pans 𐃞

GhostMiner
I would be interested in funding a Thompson clone & producing them. Would need to check legalities first but I think the market is there. I'm surprised someone hasn't taken over the business. I almost bought a new one back in 2015 at the Prospector Shop in Orroville Ca but didn't. Still kicking myself. Great for testin gravels in dry, remote areas.

I would also be interested in funding a small trommel build & sales. Something light & portable and production of a yard or two per hour. I also would be intersted in funding a small scale placer gold mine start up on proven ground.

I like the homer bucket tromel design myself, very portable and cheap to make. But there are some modifications one could make on a tromel that size, including a back screw to keep material tumbling around more in it, a wash system or maybe even putting a small conveyor to lead it up to a dry washer. I’d think that would make it a very popular item.

Mad Mining bought Fred Thompson out and started selling his own version of it, and maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think he’s making them anymore either so you might want to contact the owner of Mad mining.

Sorry about my reply using a homer bucket trommel, I didn’t see your capacity specs! A yard an hour would kill my little bucket trommel and more likely the operator at the loader controls!
