The way the 'nugget' is assembled leaves me believing that the gold particles are not all touching each other. Like an extreme version of 'sponge gold'. It might be invisible to detectors. Perhaps not as strong a signal with the vlf machines but I think you'd be able to hear it. You wouldn't be hearing the individual nano particles. Rather the mass as a whole. Another thing is the process itself. Sounds expensive and who would want to pay a lot more then gold spot price. Also... I'm just not convinced there's going to be a large market for it. Unless you're trying to look like Mister T, I doubt if anyone is burdened by the weight as they mentioned. Graphite in a latex base is a popular conductive paint for electroforming. It is as conductive as heck. And that is just a thin coating on the surface. It seems that if you chemically bond the gold to the plastic molecules it would be even more conductive. And have depth to boot. I have no idea what detector might see them if any. If I had to make a wild guess I would say they would bang the heck out of a detector like a wrinkled up piece of tinfoil. I bet nano nuggets are worth a million bucks an ounce. If the surface was 'skin-like', I would tend to agree. If you were to take a hazelnut and wrap it in one layer of gold leaf, would that be detectable? I don't know, that's my question. I do know that a bunch of tiny nuggets placed close together, do not act like a bigger target. Unless of course they are 'electrically' touching each other. The way I read the description was that the latex made a matrix that the gold particles were suspended in and there were even some air bubbles trapped. Based on that description, it seems unlikely to me that all the gold particles would be touching each other. Either way, it doesn't matter to me. It is interesting though. I think it may be that the individual links Cancel the currents of the adjacent one. Or like a closed Circuit the Ring nulls the eddy currents. A wrapped object would be a different critter I think.
