Iron and copper sulfide minerals are often referred to as "fools gold" and your specimen is neither. "Fools gold" is any mineral that someone mistakes for gold. So if your rock is being mistaken for gold then it is indeed "fools gold". So if someone thinks it is gold it is "fools gold".
