garikfox
Today's Expedition was called off because the Buggy's battery was too low. I haven't used it for four weeks and it cranked five times than the battery seemed like it was dead. It's on the slow charger now and we're going to attempt the trip again on Saturday. chrisski
I like to keep my batteries disconnected for my vehicles I don't drive and the RV also. When I parked outdoors, for the vehicles left forever, I used a trickle charger and my diesel would start up like a champ after not touching it for 6 months. Would have died well within a month without the trickle charger. Good luck. I've looked at going up in that area for prospecting also. Never made it North of Lake Pleasant except for out by Black Canyon City. I went a bit west of there out North of Castle Hot Springs road. Not any luck metal detecting. garikfox
Thanks chrisski, Amazes me how fast they die when they sit. I'll disconnect it like you do when the season is over.

In-expensive, quick and easy install. Trickle charge is great if you have access to Elect outlet. Or if you just want to disconnect the battery so it doesn't discharge, you might try this one. Works for me. Mac 1

LukeJ
My stock Tacoma has been up that path several times. If you ever make it back out there. I'd look up that gully in the upper left of the picture you posted. I can't say I've been to this claim, but if I did go, I'd be heading towards that gully as a starting point. Carry on..... Good Luck. Luke
garikfox
Thanks guys! I will check that out thanks LukeJ I really liked this place for some reason, but that last red hill going down and up seems like we were going to flip the buggy, i actually scared myself lol. I'm going to plan a trip back out there before summer and spend all day and flatten it near the bottom. The video you couldn't tell how bad it was. Here's the spot i'm talking about. The only way to this area is down the "red ramp of death" lol Edited March 1, 2020 by garikfox
garikfox
Expedition #10 Scouting old road SE of Queen Valley, AZ 90F Hello friends! I hope everyone is doing well 🙂 Went scouting on October 10th to see if this old road can handle the Buggy. I'm guessing it can't. Let me know what you guys think. I apologize for the crappy video(s) I'm pretty much a one man show, the girlfriend is incompatible with the hills
