About a mile north of Anderson Mill.

I don't know who built it. At some point the center post was an old torque tube.post-11051-0-77415100-1519355939.jpg

I don't remember anything particularly old. The late 1920's or early 30's? Lots of solder dot milk cans of that era.

I think we're all curious about those fornicating bears. Maybe the other guys were too scared to ask...

I may go hiking here in a couple of weeks.  Clay's landmatters.org has some historical mining info available along the Sophie's trail.  I haven't looked at it all, but I bet it would help fill in the story.  Not sure where your pics are along the trail, but a lot of what I looked at was worked between the 50s and 70s. My guess is what's in the picture isn't in a database and may be a little older.
