Jebbit
My dad has a 2lb piece of this and I am trying to find more information on the mineral. What it is, what its used for, whats the value... I'm not finding much out there on this item. Any push in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks,
Bedrock Bob
It is a metal sulfide. It is a mineral that would be valuable for its metal content. From this description it would be an ore of copper/silver/gold. What the actual metal value is of any specimen is pretty subjective. But a rare mineral is often worth more than the metals it contains. Evidently this is a fairly rare mineral. In other words I don't know crap about Novakite except this. Hope it helps. From the pics on Mindat it could be any sulfide or telluride. Why don't you post a picture of this stuff just so we can say we have seen some?
