Can anyone help me identify what I have

Recommended Posts

The first and second picture are the same rock.

The third and fourth are the same rock.

The first rock is about 100 pounds and the second rock I have another 50 pounder.

If anyone could help me identify this and if they are worth any value what do I do with them ?

I was told that these were brought from Colorado along time ago. Not sure on exact years but I would say at least 50 years ago

It’s really hard to tell from pictures alone, but the first looks like either marble or quartzite. The second I’m going to guess is a pegmatite, because it looks like it’s got a decent sized piece of schorl in it.

Thanks man. I was told rose quartz for the first one but I’m trying to double check

Looks rosy to me too.  Nice foundation rock for a retaining  wall., or elsewhere in the landscape
