Found this in my grandparents stuff, allegedly found in the Alberta Badlands. Need help with getting a solid I.D. before I send em to a lab. I would be happy with them being hematite but they do have a crust of some kind that is darker. You will see its chipped in some of the images. It pulls a magnet on a string and the streak is dark brown but the dust makes water Black and I'm told that would rule out hematite. So honestly I'm at a loss for what this is. Send help XD

You are most likely correct I just spoke with another individual who said he won't say it's not a meteorite, but it's definitely not hematite and may be Ironstone. Are Ironstone concretions non magnetic? I mean multiple people are saying it's ironstone It's probably Ironstone but I believe Due diligence is appropriate here! What should I be taking pictures of?

The greyish stone that looks out of place is a reference and not part of the same find. My concern is the inside, from what I have seen on the internet a concretion window would be plain which these are not. also both people I have showed it to so far have noted that it very well could be a meteorite and the only way I could know is to have it tested. So I probably will at some point when I can afford it.

Looks like iron stone to me, not a meteorite.

Odinxgen,

Mike was using a bit humor when he mentioned more photos because of the numerous amount of photos you have posted, of which many of them seem to be showing exactly the same views of your specimen.
