No gold today but....

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Finally snuck out today for a good portion of the day. Didnt score any gold but i did find a Chinese coin that is in great condition. It was a beautiful day in the low 60s. Baseball season has me tied up pretty good for a few months but i plan on getting out on Sundays for a while. Take care everyone.

Dan

Nice to see you're getting out after all these months of nice northern Nevada weather.ūüėČ

Great find. I'm sure there's more out there somewhere.

Good Job Mr.  Finding a Chinese coin is better than finding only boot tacks & lead bullets & wire & bullet casings & hot rocks... and the list goes on -n- on. :m2c:

What detector were you using at the time apparently it does gold and other metals

Looking for a detector but can't figure out what to buy, live in AZ so gold is 1st on the list but coins and stuff is OK to

Thanks

Roger,

I pretty much use my GPX5000 for everything. I run a Command 11 inch DD for the coins and relics and use a 15 inch EVO nugget finder for chasing nuggets.

OK thanks for the info, I know the 5000 is a really good machine and didn't they drop the price a lot now than when it 1st came out

It just seems like you're hauling so much and wires all over

I like the gold monster because it just seems simpler to carry and use

But I don't know if it would find coins like what you found or as deep of targets

Thanks for the info

But weren't China or Japan making knock off of the 5000 and is there away to tell if you buy a used one

Roger

Thanks Edge

I don't want to miss any coins or nuggets

Shallow, deep,in someone's pocket

I think the Chinese coin is cool but I love finding relics too

But I have a long ways to go learning not only the detector but the land scape too

And my wife says I can't take her new ford escape thru the desert so I need something to get out there with, and my knees are not going to do it

Thanks again

Roger
