DakotaMG
My sister-in-law and I found this rock on a beach in Florida and decided to break it open to see if anything was in it. We can’t tell what it is, so I was wondering if anyone here can.
Au Seeker
I'm thinking it's Florida's state stone....agatized coral. Not the best of specimens I have ever seen but that's what I think it is.
Red_desert
That's what I thought. Found a nice specimen right here in N Indiana. An archaeologist found coral fossils in Ohio, during a survey. Whether they occur naturally in the Midwest or if Native Americans traded them from Florida, don't know but you can find a few.
