New Tick Species

The tick can spread quickly – females can reproduce without mating and are capable of laying as many as 2,000 eggs at a time.

The CDC said it is currently investigating the distribution of the tick in the U.S. and the potential for disease associated with it.

in minnesota my daugther keeps a flock of guina fowl plus there's many shrews around even in the winter time that keep them in check.

farm grew up on in michigan still has always had a good flock of them. when pheasant population declined in the late 60's we hunted them. still do.
