adam
Got out today for a while. A storm had hit this area last night and it looks like some lighter material got moved around. Sometimes just a little off the top is all you need to get an edge on another hidden piece. I have been is this spot before and its hard to get a target, but when you do, its likely gold. Well sometimes... Lookey there , some gold.... It was two pieces ! This one was a loud sun baker! That was it today, 3 pieces...Maybe a half gram total

I like getting on my hands and knees in areas like that to see what I can pick out with my naked eyes; and then pluck them out with my tweezers, if nothing else but to say that it can still be done today. Beautiful looking granite bedrock there. Gary

AzNuggetBob
Nice finds Adam. the second nugget looks like a new sunbaker find, congrats. and I agree with ya Adam. gotta love these Monsoons. I look forward to these every year. not only does it cool it off, it dropped into the low 90's today. it also takes off inches of top soil and sand and gravel in the washes. and every inch makes it huntable again. This time of year I watch the weather a lot and use it to my advantage. On the upper tribs the slow rains wash the sand in, the monsoon rains wash it out.
