4meter Posted March 19, 2018 Share Posted March 19, 2018 Based only on the photo and no other info, I'd say it is a Sandstone with layers of conglomerate. Randall Posted March 19, 2018 Share Posted March 19, 2018 I just read that during the Pennsylvanian Period (320-285 million years ago) much of Utah was under an ancient sea which created much of Utah's rock formations we see today.
