Randall
To be honest...I don't have much experience hunting public park areas which are usually infested with non-ferrous trash. I can say just lately I have attempted to hunt some with a "beep and dig" type detector where thumbing the discriminate knob was my only possible way to ID target along with the modulated audio. In short time my patience runs out so I crank up the discrimination and wind up just coin hunting and whatever else I'm lucky enough to hear. Having never used a ID type detector...I can see how they could help when hunting such areas with the additional ID!
