adam
Today in lala-land, I was hiking aimlessly, willy-nilly , with no concerns, and not paying one bit of attention to ground conditions. All I asked for was bedrock, and gold.......Maybe it was a stroke of luck? ... I found both. Edited January 2, 2018 by adam 10

That reminds me of some of the gold I found in the Eugene mountains of Nevada. A lot of really exquisite specimens were found in that mountain range as well as Rye Patch.
Andyy
Nice pics, Adam. A friend of mine calls those "action shots" when you find the nugget still in place. Me... I usually get too excited and just want that little baby in my scoop. Sweet work out there in lala-Land.

adam
Thanks for the comments everyone ! I`m really pushing for that " forum recognition" My post was to show that you do not need to know jack sh#t about geology, or colors of ground to find gold. Sure, it can be useful to be knowledgeable on the subject , but not absolutely necessary to find placer gold. Gold definitely, IS where you find it. Download a copy of or purchase " Placer Gold Deposits of Arizona......That book or a similar book can put you in known gold areas. lots of them ! Put on your big kid hiking boots, and start detecting shallow ground.

In these cases it might be better to hunt the peripheries. I've had lots of success with this.

All the gold is not in the wash. Keep it up Adam and I'm going to have to put some nugget porn That were not found in washes/creeks with blond rocks whatever.
