chrisski Posted September 13, 2017 Share Posted September 13, 2017 Poke the pieces with a pin, if it cracks pyrite. If it dents, gold. If you're bored, crush it into dust and pan the dust. If there's gold, it'll still be there at the bottom. The easiest thing would be turn it in the light, gold will be shiny even in the shade. Gold mica will not be shiny.
