ArizonaRockHound
Does anyone know if you have two of the exact same detectors or detectors of the same frequency will that cause problems when out nuggetshooting ? and how far do you need to be away to avoid any interference if there is any ? homefire
Yes it can happen. It's called Cross Talking. They don't even have to be the same make or model for it to happen. Distance between machines can vary. 10 or 20 ft is good most times. Edited July 31, 2017 by homefire
nugget108
My son can work about 5 feet from me when i use the 5000 and hes using the GB2. But when we both use the GoldBugs we can barely get within 20 yards of each other. Its bad.

Not the case with 'gold only' PIs.. Swamp
GeoJack
Garrett ATX can work close by the GB2's. As stated, two GB2's need some distance to work together.

Minelab GP-GPX have auto tune and a manual tuning dial that will tune out the other detector. If Im hearing another nearby detector or radar from overhead aircraft I turn the manual tuning knob 1/2 to one full turn and it usually clears up the emi issue.
GOLDFEVER125
hi New Member to this greatforum if you are using any Minelab MD & A Detech {Metal Detector} which have the exact same coils as most of the the Minelab Units , BOTH COMPANYS COILS ARE interchangeable with Any Detech Metal Detector from Austrailian or the European {Hungerian models}As they will cross talk without a doubt.Peroid!!! Especially with the "6 inch" Coil the noise will Definitely be a very noticeable interference buzzing and the problem starts at around the {28htz for the VLF Units & Above) nice gold & photos!!!!
