Nugget Shooter Fall Outing

Recommended Posts

From Highway 74 0r 60 in Morristown, AZ take Castle Hot Springs Road about a mile past where pavement ends and go left, if you pass ranch house on hill you went to far. Take the dirt road (little rough) through Little San Domingo Wash and you will see camp when you crest the small hill. Can't miss the iron Jackass on peak ahead on right....

The big red spot on map just before the turn in an old quarry with huge piles of red gravel still on the site and your turn is road to left just past it.

Looking forward to this one...Weather should be awesome and new nuggets  exposed from monsoon! ... Hope no one will have an idling semi parked in camp on this one! ... Cheers, Unc   PS, if folks  indicate interest I'll bring some new LSD maps.

Rick many will stagger in mid week ... majority will probably be there Friday afternoon to evening ... a few Saturday morning .... almost everyone stays until at least Sunday for an early morning hunt and break camp late morning if they are leaving Sunday. Some will linger an extra day or two. So you see it is scattered. If i were going I usually arrive Thursday and set up camp. Hunt all day Friday and Saturday until noon or early afternoon and then visit with everyone the rest of Saturday ... share a meal, campfire, drink beer and tell lies ... listen to a few too! No matter when you arrive there is always someone willing to help you set up if you need the help.

Here's a 3D interactive map to help new visitors get their bearings.

Here's a small version for slower connections.

Here's a much higher resolution version for fast connections.

Once the map loads you can zoom in/out, go to ground level or turn the model different directions. Get Lat Long for your GPS by clicking on the map.

OK I can almost see Fall from my house and time to announce the Fall Outing in November 2017 at Jackass Flats in the San Domingo Placer area and our dates will be the 17th to 19th of November. As usual there will be a main course of smoked beast supplied by your hosts and you all got to bring everything else. These things are big fun and there is gold to be found in the area detecting and with the other usual methods except dredging

Maps and a attendance poll will be posted later and see ya there!

My wife and I will be there to learn the Gold Monster 1000, and if you have time maybe you can help my wife learn the X-705. If you don't have time to help her, maybe we can work something out before hand. I kinda like having her out there with me, we have a good time together.
