azdigger
OH boy, got my 4X6 coil for my GM2 today. Took it out in the yard , it "found" all of my coin garden plus other items, even found a "small" and I do mean small piece of rusty metal, same color as the dirt so I put it a gold pan with a little water , swished all around until it was spread out then used my falcon MD-20 to find it. I do think I got me a keeper. Can't wait to get back out to Gold Basin , gonna hunt a spot that I was told had some small targets that a PI had trouble with. We will find out. Ron , Thanks for the review, helped me decide to get the coil. Very Happy
Au Seeker
Glad you got the coil you been waiting for, looking forward to your reports on it!
jim mcculloch
Rick you will likely find you can employ more power with the 6x4, a circumstance that will usually mean greater depth.
azdigger
Yes Jim , I did notice that, in the yard I had it about 4 and now with the new coil I could go to almost 8...not bad. I ran at 7 and all was smooth. Can't wait to get it out to Gold Basin....the coil is so little I will have to cover an area very well. jim mcculloch
Rick, when using a small coil you need to especially follow the two rules of coil control: low and slow. Low for better depth. Slow so that the coil is over the target long enough to sense it. As I mentioned in "Advanced Nuggetshooting" "The SLOWPOKE gets the gold." especially the small bits. Hope this helps; HH Jim
azdigger
Jim any advice is welcome. I already figured the slow and low part. that is why I got to get me a cover for my coil.

Mike Furness
Bill S beat me too it but I will second what he said about Jim ... In my book Jim is the guru of White's gold machines. Rick you are going to love that coil ... if the snails go faster than you swing then you are just about the right speed! Looking forward to the parade of 'dinks' after your hunt! They will make your bottle rattle and your mouth smile! LOL! Mike F Edited October 27, 2016 by Mike Furness

azdigger
I know, the place I went to when it was first pointed to me , there was not much workings at all, now it looks like anyone visiting Gold Basin with a drywasher has been there. I was surprised, some of those pieces was so small.....the coil and machine will do the job. Just got to get it over that yaller stuff.
