homefire
Short Video of a gold operation down under. Their on it. Why are they handling the material so many times ? Digging Over Burden. Hauling Pay Dirt to two locations ? Detecting field , wash plant and back to the hole ?

homefire
Seems to me their moving the pay dirt around too much. Why not detect it as it's exposed then off to the wash plant with it ? Edited October 23, 2016 by homefire Spelling, Speeeeeling, Oh, Ha Know ! My guess is even with their crushing and washing they in the past have had still encased nuggets end up in the tailings.. Further guessing suggests they've found out the way they're now going through their material is the most cost effective from the 'lost' / 'missed' nugget viewpoint.. Merely my take on the matter.. Morlock
Nice video.. Reminds me of a small operation north of Mill City, Nevada I saw a few years ago.
