Strapped
I saw this 12 foot high large pile of rocks off Interstate 8 near Gila Bend that a dairy farmer had cleared off of hundreds of acres of desert preparing the land for alfalfa fields for feeding the cows. I went back there today to climb around that pile of rocks with my GB2. I should have worn steel toed boots! The pile is about two feet shorter now after the little rock slides I generated. I didn't find any space rocks. Have any of you ever been successful searching rock piles that farmers have made?
fredmason
I have thought about doing that but.... Nininger found some in fence rows where farmers threw rocks-that was in Kansas, as I recall... fred
Mikestang
I know of a meteorite pulled out of Traveler's Monument on the Mojave Road... But yea finding them in rock piles has happened before and will happen again, good spot!
