Au Seeker Posted March 2, 2016 Share Posted March 2, 2016 I agree with Don, there's no place on it to hold without the risk of cutting oneself, and the notches would be pointless on a knife, but on a tomahawk they would be used for lashing it to a handle. The knapping technique is completely overshot percussion and the notches are too abrupt and sharp. I'm no expert on artifacts but I have seen a whole bunch of uniquely shaped large pieces like this and they have all been the work of modern knappers.
