Old Tom
It was a lot of fun that day way back up in the hills. I don't think that I had a metal detector yet but I was praying to the gold gods just like the rest of those fools. That was one patch that provided a lot of gold but won't be good again until a hundred year flood rolls some more yeller into it. DOC
If you had one more guy standing up hill with a smoking 6 shooter it would look as if there had been an ambush from a claim jumper.I just don't know of any hobby that is as fun as this one.Doc
Ahorton10
Looks to me like you guys were napping on the job. Finding all those nuggets will make a guy sleepy for sure.
Old Tom
Hey Swampy, didn't you figure that there might be a fourth devotee there that day? Actually young Tom was taking that pic while the others were groveling in the dust. Somewhere there is a glass vile of nuggets just small enough to fit a hole in one's pocket that's in that wash waiting to be found. I like Doc's explanation of the whole fracas. Looks like an old time shoot-out all right. Old Tom
Andyy
Look funny? Absolutely not. That looks like you guys are having a blast. It is seriously a great picture. MetalliKile
Good pic Tom,That's what I call getting out the fine toothed comb! It's not called precious metal for nothing. Don't leave even a speck, Mother Nature has plenty more where that came from, and she doesn't need it near as bad as we do.Love that beautiful dirt!Regards,MetalliKile
