homefire
Would that be with or with out the Pink Bra? Them Lacy bras don't offer much protection.
Uncle Ron
It may be a bit late after the bite, but mix yourself up some baking soda and dish washing soap liquid, like ajax, dawn, etc ... We've had some bad bites around here and that concoction, put on thick in time, really stops the venom in its tracks ... Can't hurt ... Good luck ... Mike Furness
Like Ron's home remedy I have always used a dab of toothpaste ... pretty much the same idea as his ... tends to dry it out a bit as an astringent and has a cleansing effect too. If it is a brown recluse I would strongly suggest you see a doctor ... or at least a veterinarian. Don't laugh ... those vets have some really good stuff for the animals and a lot of it is good to use on humans. A good country vet may not be the same as an MD but it sure is better than losing a hand ... slowly!Mike F
frank c
Homefire , over the weekend I met a man who was in a hell of a condition. He had been that way for the past 9 years. His complete arm looked like what I would describe as "Elephantitus".H e told me 9 years ago he was bitten by a black widow in the armpit, but failed to seek medical attention.Well he said he has been to numerous Dr's.,and Universities an specialists etc. and they all just shrug their shoulders nothing can be done.He said because he did not seek treatment right away he has to live with this condition. That 1 arm looks like it weights about 25 lbs. more than the normal arm.Its definitely "your call". But I'd keep an eye on it an do some research pronto.Could be ant bites too ???? I had some looked like that a couple times.
homefire
Happened in my sleep. Great minds think alike. I used Backing Soda to try and pull out any thing I could. Seems to be going down or at least not getting any larger. Thank You.
Hoser John
The WalGreens and Rite Aids now have a PA on staff to take care of such things on the cheap. A friend said it cost him $45,less than half a Docs visit. Wish ya luck with that nasty bite-John Edited June 9, 2015 by Hoser John
grubstake
My uncle got bitten by a blackwidow a long time ago, He put wet tobacco on it and a bandage, it drew all the poison out, in about two days, you couldn't even tell where the bite was. weaver hillbille
SOunds like the bite in his armpit destroyed his lymph system in the arm so he now lives with severe lymphedema in that limb.Homefire , over the weekend I met a man who was in a hell of a condition. He had been that way for the past 9 years. Mike Furness
Along with Walgreen's and Rite-Aid ... the CVS drug stores also have a walk-in clinic. I have used the them twice now with good results.Mike F
homefire
Well it's going away. Bite site is still hard as a rock . All redness is going away. Not a Recluse or if it was it was a dry bite. Thank you all for the Suggestions.
Hoser John
My great friend Leonard L . in Colorado is still in the hospital after 2 weeks from a bite from god knows what, docs say another week. Fresh IVs every 4 hours(bags of antibiotics) They "think" it was West Nile Virus BUT after 2 full weeks in the best place in town you'd think they'd KNOW by now whatzup/who/what/where?? That's what great insurance does to ya-turns you into a cow for the milking of $100 bills-take care, err on the side a caution-
homefire
I remember when the Dr would come to your house, give you a shot in the butt and charge you $10.00.... And you had time to pay it off. LOL Now a Asprin cost $100.00 . Insurance has Inflated all Prices. Hell, they even have test to see if the Test is Testing.
Hoser John
5 hours in Shasta Regional for a bad diviticulitis attack cost me over $23,000 5 years ago. They wanted to admit me and empty my wallet. I told'm one more bag of levaquin and 1 more Demerol and my son will drive me home to die in peace and NOT financial suicide. Talk about pzzzzzzzzzzzzd hahaha my life my way. God bless I'm glad Demerol is illegal as a easy love affair with that bug juice for sure......John
homefire
About 10 years ago I ended up in the E Room here. Spent a whole 45 minutes in there. Sent me a bill for $5 thousand and some. I called them up and ask them to Itemize it. They never did and I never paid.
Hoser John
I also and got a HUGE bill a good 4 foot long. Bill was paid in full 100% but a accounting error attacked my sons credit rating as they said $58 not paid. 3 months,a dozen trips going up the executive ladder to fix that screwup. NEVER name a son after yourself, even with a different middle name. He got home from clinic last week and was hotter than hell as he's now 65 and been treated for numerous things when NOT him. Incompetance is now the basis of our economy-John
Uncle Ron
I went to Wickenburg emergency two years ago while having a heart attack ... They stabilized me, got things working right, then sent me off to Phoenix for stents ... The emergency room visit and treatment cost me $300 (with Medicare) and two separate stent procedures cost well over $100,000 each ...Again, thank you, Medicare!!! Regmaglitch
Homefire, I was bitten by a Brown Recluse Spider on my stomach while sleeping in the 1990's. It was hardand very painful for a long time. My visit to the doc was worthless. I have learned since, that usinga poltice is good, and I would try Ron's mixture for that reason. Heal quick, Ben
