Hoser John Posted May 10, 2015 Share Posted May 10, 2015 That 1861 S was a very small run with only 24,000 minted. At 4.18 grams not a big heavy coin but as a coin value WOW. Amazing find and righteous luck not tearing it up. 448,895 minted on the half and shape just ok but a fantastic find never the less.
