chrisski 847
Photo number 7, the mysterious moving rocks of Death Valley. One of the mysteries that I was interested in. No one's proved how they move.
mn90403 977
I have pictures of 'moving rocks' in a northern Nevada dry lake. It shows tracks in the bed where the rocks had once been. Up there I was told that when the lake freezes the rocks are locked into the ice. When the wind blows and the ice melts they leave a track. I don't know about the ice part in Death Valley but the tracks generally are down hill and down wind.
El Dorado 964
Photo number 7, the mysterious moving rocks of Death Valley. One of the mysteries that I was interested in. No one's proved how they move.We recently spent a week at Death Valley, Yup it is a rare combination of circumstances that cause the rocks to move and they say ice is and wind are the key elements
