Bill ... I know that :) ... Just my strange way of speaking or writing as the case may be ... just my back of the barn way of acknowledging Tom for fronting it. Nugget Shooter always has a good outing and 'all' are always welcome as you say. Looking forward to it ... see you there.

I read the brochure & was really surprised to find out it's only water "resistant".

it doesn't have the same waterproof headphone jack as the CTX 3030. That's why the CTX is waterproof, but the GPZ is only weatherproof or water resistant. The headphone jack on the GPZ is just a standard quarter inch round jack.

The machine has downloadable software and as improvements are made I am sure Minelab will make that software available. As an example the CTX had a software upgrade for salty soils and if something similar happens with the GPZ, it is upgradeable through software you can download.

To be clear, on the other hand, I am not saying that this is the last new machine ML will ever make and all future upgrades will just be software and nothing more.
