TomH
Welp, did a half day hunt today.Decided to take the dirt bike out and hit a wash.Loaded up the 5000 and the GB2 in the backpack and took off.Got about as far as I could go and walked 1/4 mile to my spot. The wash just got too bouldery. <------new wordDid some placering first off while I had the energy...nuttenTook the ML out for a walk after that, didn't get any targets for about 2 hrs. Finally a old rusty bullet. Ran out of wash so I hopped over to another one. About 3/4 the way down im thinking this is going to be a skunk day. But, then comes the nice mellow signal....yes! Got it in the scoop and finally saw a little yellow Yeeehah!...finally some gold.Kind of small but I will take it. Doesn't even read on the gram scale. Good half day out, Good Lord kept all my bones in one piece and got some gold.Tom H.

AzNuggetBob
Nice looking Bike Tom, lots of suspension. I'll bet its a nice ride. The leggins are a good idea too. when riding If I'm in a real bad area with jumpin choy, cat claw or prickley pear I wear my waist high snake chaps. the cat claw doesn't even stick to them.any gold is always better than no gold. good luck on more. TomH
Tks guys.. Bob..yup its a great ride. I might do some sprocket changes to gear it a little lower though. That wash beat me up today. Really sandy with a lot of big rocks. Lots of low branches and tons of sticky stuff Arms were feeling like rubber about half way in. My shirt is now heading for the rag bin. Think im going to map out ways to get in up high on the ridges, then drop down.BB....Im old and feble ...a Rokon would beat me to death I need some suspension! Adam: Yah..it was great to hear that little guy. Made my day Did a massive reverse sweep of the whole area, but alasno more. Go figure. Might be some BG2 stuff in that wash though. Its pinned on Google earth Tom

AzNuggetBob
Tks guys.. Bob..yup its a great ride. I might do some sprocket changes to gear it a little lower though. That wash beat me up today.Ya I agree Tomchange the primary sprocket if its not minimized already. It looks like you have about a 42 or 44 tooth on the rear. (it should be marked.)go up to a 48 or 52 tooth. It will kill your top end speed but you will have a much better low end range.it will climb hills better and not tend to spin the rear tire.it will also start out in the sand better.that is a 4 stroker right? looks like a honda.also the rear shock is sometimes adjustable and the spring is color coded as far as stiffness. If its cranked up to race it's going to beat you up. azblackbird
Your pretty observant! 42 on the rear and a 14 on the front. I don't need top end speed..13/51 is what I always run for the knarly stuff. That combo will turn your bike into a tractor.
