BamaRob
This was found in Alabama. It has a few meteorite characteristics but not sure of the origin of the stone. Any ideas about this?
Red_desert
Alabama has a surprising number of old silver mine sites.....I think from what I've heard, during the CW they also mined lead from secret sites for bullets. Here is a photo of one type silver ore. Edited December 29, 2014 by Red_desert
Mikestang
I don't know what type of rock it is, but it is for sure not a meteorite.
Regmaglitch
Hey Rob, It appears to be some oxidized, iron-stained quartz. Could be an ore. Not a meteorite. Ben Edited December 29, 2014 by Regmaglitch
