Mike Furness
Charlie it is a disease ... texting has been become the main mode of communication between younger folks ... even when they sit across a lunch table from each other ... I saw that in a Wendy's just a couple days ago. I thought they were texting to separate people but one would text and then the next ... back and forth they would text and not a word spoken ... except once when they both looked up at each other and smiled! In a couple of generations the human body will no longer have need for the spoken word and we will be back to guttural grunts returning full circle to our beginnings eons ago! The art of language ... especially proper language with complete sentences, accurate spelling and punctuation is waning fast!Mike F

azblackbird
The art of language ... especially proper language with complete sentences, accurate spelling and punctuation is waning fast! You can thank the liberal educational system and common core for that. No more cursive writing being taught in many of the school systems. Nowadays a student who graduates as a senior out of college, has the equivalent academic fortitude as senior who graduated out of high school in the 1940's. Sh*t more or less started going downhill when the .gov got involved in our educational system. It's only going to get worse.
