My feeble recall of readings -------> EArth core heat is from: initial formation, meteorite impact, radioactivity -to include uncontrolled fission( EArth goes BOOM!),,,immense friction and compression .........

Very good point Rim. now that you mention it, I discovered that a long time ago. we were removing

steel plates from super magnets. we got this brite idea to heat them to soften the epoxy. down side, get it to hot and the magnetism goes away too. :D AzNuggetBob

More on magnetic poles. maybe I missed it but I did not read an explantion as to why?
