Sorry,, I don`t follow what your talking about ?? :89:

Looks like a tree fell on the trail while he was out prospecting for the day, on the way back he had to move it to get out.

That happened to me in Colorado ridin dirtbikes on some single track, I came flyin back around a corner I had just gone through 30 minutes earlier and BAM! a big ol' tree layin across the trail.

Good thing John was prepared!

I figured your photo had to be an "after" shot, I'm sure you had a big job to clear the road/trail looking at the size of the trunk on that tree!!

I (actually the guy driving, not me.. I was walking) just got stuck 10 miles out in the back woods. Truck slid off a narrow dozer track when the road gave out. Truck slid sideways into a tree on the steep downhill side. No way out, but sideways back onto the road. I hiked out and called the wife. She had to drive 1.5 hours after getting all the winches , jacks, pulleys and slings everyone I knew had. Once she arrived in Gold run, I put her up in a hotel and drove back out where my partner had nicely pulled all the poison oak in our way , out BY HAND!!!! holly cow!! I didn't get home until early the next day. Got some help from a local Volunteer fireman who drove out to help he sure came in handy. At least I didn't get Poison oak out of the ordeal.

I think the big guy above was watchin' out for me, as I only carried a bottled water and two beers when I started walking out. After the beer was gone, and most of the water as well, I found a full beer in the ditch next to the road. Hell I didn't care hot or not. I drank that baby. I finally got a ride out the last few miles from a German fella who spoke no English but he understood a guy walking that far out in the sticks was not good. All that work is good for ya John Carry on solder. You got shore leave tonight. How did you move that tree? Don't you just love prospecting?
