It would be cool if it were true, but that website/news site is a satirical website, meaning they make up the stories they publish/post.

Check out their "Disclaimer Page".....

All news articles contained within worldnewsdailyreport.com are fiction, and presumably fake news. Any resemblance to the truth is purely coincidental, except for all references to politicians and/or celebrities, in which case they are based on real people, but still based almost entirely in fiction."

That all being said, it is possible that the Vikings did go up the Mississippi, but as of yet there is no evidence to date to make it a fact.

That explains the comment section.

I'm not good with the ol inter webs but if you look up Fort Mountain Ga it is interesting. I've done a bit of relic hunting in that area--- just happens to be good for civil war and old Cherokee stuff.

Not far away is the old federal road--- good beeping if you can put up with the trash.

It's possible ...I remember reading a book by Robert Marx....famous marine archeologist/treasure hunter.....he was searching for a ship from the Manila galleon of the coast of Mexico and spotted a line of amphoras ..lined up right next to each other....he stated that he believed early Greek or Roman ships may have come as far as North America and down to South America.
